Natalie, After Margaret Keyes was widowed she married James Reed. They are of course, the Reeds of the Donner Party. Little Patty (Virginia) Reed was actually the daughter of Lloyd Backenstoe. You can follow Patty's life through the Donner Party books. Hope this helps. Jo Ann Schmidt

Elder Isaac MERRIAM organized the Tremont Baptist Church in 1842. Can anyone tell me about him or his family? I am wondering if he was closely related to Elder Jonathan MERRIAM, who also accepted an appointment from the Home Missionary Society, and became pastor of the Springfield Church a little before this (about 1837)? Any historians for the Central Baptist Church of Springfield on this list? Robert ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
