Crowder listed in the obituary book for 1861-1896 from the Sangamon Co. Genealogical Society - they have taken them from the card file at Lincoln Library in Springfield. All it says is: CROWDER, John C. d. 4-10-1863 60 yrs. You might try writing to the library's Reference Desk (where they have the newspapers) and see if you can get a copy of the obit. Good luck

Family history has Ralph and Delilah living in Terre Haute, IN where Ralph was a merchant, their son James Thomas was born in 1826, supposedly in Indiana. Ralph and Delilah then moved to Springfield, IL, then to Carbondale, IL, finally settling in Raleigh, IL. They must have been in Springfield prior to 1855; in 1855 James Thomas married Hannah Stricklin in Saline County, IL. So far I cannot find the Rabourn's on any census. Thanks for any help!
