    2. Bob KNOTTS
    3. I understand the KNOTTS family in Sangamon IL started in VA. My KNOTTS family started in VA, but then moved to ST Mary's MD in 1651. A short time later a son of James KNOTT moved to Queen Anne's co, where my gg-grandfather, Andrew KNOTTS, was b in 1770. My g-grandfather WM ,b 1805, QA co, MD, and his younger brother, Joseph, b QA co, 1812 went to IL in the early 1840's. WM and his second wife Sylvia WILSEY went to Oregon in 1845. They settled in Benton co Oregon in 1848. I'm interested in finding out if the two KNOTTS families are related. Some of the QA co KNOTTS' moved to DE., and on to WV. Bob KNOTTS

Houston Family And now the question: One of the list members sent me a picture of a cemetery marker for Berea Cemetery day before yesterday. While deciding where to put the picture, it occurred to me that Mary Ann & I put up most of the Morgan County cemeteries as much as 2 years ago. Cemeteries still being used for current burials are out of date. In addition, I have many obituaries for Cemeteries in the various counties (not just Morgan) and quite a few pictures (as an example, at one time I had pictures of all of the veteran markers for Waverly East Cemetery though I've fallen behind in taking the latest ones). I took the Berea Cemetery listing, updated it and linked the obituaries and cemetery marker pictures I had to enteries in the cemetery listing and then put it up on the MAGA site. I may move it back to the Morgan County site when Morris is back home and has more time to work on the pages again. I'm wondering whether you think it would be worthwhile to update the other cemeteries which are still being used for burials and, at the same time, add pictures and/or obituaries which are available. If so, am wondering whether you all would be willing to share whatever pictures and obituaries you have in your files. Pictures and obituaries could also be added to the rest of the Morgan cemeteries and for cemeteries in the other counties - I don't have as many pictures and obituaries for the other cemeteries but think there are probably many out there which you have collected during your research. Sorry for running on so long, but wanted your input on whether you thought it would be worthwhile to do this?

    3. Hi Alan, I also show his wife as Susannah Landis, born unknown, died 1844 Sangamon County, Illinois, marriage 11-June-1822 Washington County, KY. My source for this information was a series of articles on the Withrow family of Sangamon County published in the Circuit Rider back in the early 1990's. I am interested in knowing your sources as you have a different marriage date as well as last name for Susannah. I have discovered some other errors in the article and I am of course interested in having my information correct. I am descended from Joseph through his daughter Tabitha of his first marriage with Elizabeth McMullen. One of the errors in the article is the date of birth for Tabitha. I have the Bible records which I believe to be correct, which list her date of birth as 15-April-1811 in Washington County, Kentucky. You can link to my data at any of the three sites listed below. I would truly enjoy corresponding with you on the Withrow family. 3. Bill You might try the "Early Settlers of Sangamon County" book. I may not remember correctly but I thought that they were mentioned. I have this information: William Orr b. 8 Feb, 1820 in Ohio m. Minervas J. Drennan [daughter of Ezekial N. and Mary Viney Drennan] on 29 Aug 1848 in Sangamon county, Illinois. William died 18 Feb 1912 in Adair county Missouri and is buried in Highland Park Cemetery. There children were Emma F., b. 1849; Henrietta E., b. 1852; Alfred R., b. 1855 and; Mary A., b. 1858. I do not know if William is from your Orr family but it seems to fit. Have you tried probate records for the Orr family via IRAD. If it is there, it might named the children.
