    3. John Fones b. 1840 NY d. bef. 1910 Auburn, IL. married Mary A. Minnium Chapman Seeking further information on John FONES. According to the 1900 Cook County, Thornton Township, City of Harvey, John was born April 1840 in New York & so were his parents. He died before 1910. He married Mary Adeline MINNIUM CHAPMAN about 1899. She was born May 20, 1852 in Brown County, Illinois. She died Dec. 10, 1926 in Auburn, Sangamon County, IL. She was buried in the Auburn Cemetery, Auburn, IL. I believe by her husband John. It is unknown if they had children. Mary Adeline's parents were John A. and Hannah HETRICK MINNIUM. They were both born in PA. Mary's first husband was Samuel V. CHAPMAN 1846-1887. They had 5 children: May, Cora, Arvilla, Artilla, Wallace. It is unknown what happened to the children except Artilla married Jacob H. FOSTER in 1892 Cass Co. IL. If any of this sounds remotely familiar please reply. Thanks, Judi

Since my 1999 posting I've found more information about my Robert W. Price. His parents are Philemon Bird Price ( b 25 Jan 1783 in VA; d 6 Aug 1835 in Morgan County, IL) and Mary "Molly" Dorsey Wilmott (b 3 Nov 1792 in Maryland; d 29 Sep 1867 in Morgan Co., IL.) They were married 1 Apr 1810 in Bourbon Co., KY. Their children were: Ann Price(b 1811 Scott Co., KY; d 1873 Morgan Co., IL), Philemon Bird Price, Jr. (b 1818 Scott Co., KY; d 19 Oct 1886 Morgan Co., IL), Robert Wickliffe Price (11 Feb. 1825 Scott Co., KY; d 9 Jun 1887 Sangamon Co., IL); Joel Scott Price (b 1827; d 1889). I believe there are at least 5 more children with no dates available yet: Theodore Price, Mortimer Price, Charles W. Price, Williamson Price, and Andrew Price. The name PHILEMON BIRD PRICE seems to recur in this family - my Robert W. named a son after his father, as did some of his sibli! ngs. So if that name pops up in your research, we may connect somewhere down the line. Keep in touch, Sharon
