Leanna, The only surefire way would be to look the name up in Glen Minor's cemetery books. There are major gaps concerning the Shawneetown newspapers being microfilmed. There's also a number of wills and probates that were taken out of the courthouse around the time of the 1937 flood. A link to the cemetery books can be found on the Gallatin County ILGenWeb site at www.rootsweb.com/~ilgalla2/cemeteries.html. Also, if he was Catholic you may want to check with the local churches.
