Thanks Kent for responding with the information that Stonefort was part of Twp 10 in 1870, and the specific pages Stonefort is on in the 1870 Census. Hopefully the Groces are there in one of their alternate spellings ie: Grose, Gross, Grofs, Grohs, Grows, Grace, Grass Groese etc, and I will be able to find them with your helpful hints that have narrowed it down where I have to look. There are also a couple of brothers and a father that might be there too if you would be so kind to check your index again for me: Richard V. Closest name is Ed D. Groves age 18 Kentucky in Raliegh Township.page 70 I even checked Cross 3 household but none that matched first names.
