I thought I would reply to a neat note he sent to someone regarding hitting brick wall when it comes to looking up info on Indians. I replied with the hopes he would have some input to help me locate my Great grandmother. Anyway, he complained that he couldn't do his genealogy for "all of us taking up his time". I guess it is a HE...who knows it might be a HER. I have never had any luck replying to anything I see with "ILSALINE-L" address. Again, I am sorry to bother you. >>>>> WHAT IN THE BLUE BLAZES ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ??????? I MADE NO SUCH REMARK AND I HIGHLY RESENT THE IMPLICATION. I have yet to reply to your letter to me. For what it is worth, I no longer shall either. >>> I have just read a note you sent to Jon Musgrove thru [email protected] and wonder if you have any tips for someone like me who has searched and searched for my Great Grandmother - Rosa Massey Harrison, who is supposed to have been full blood Cherokee but was ashamed to have claimed Indian Blood. Her parents were supposed to have been born in Tennessee (father - John Massey) and Kentucky (mother - Margaret Witt) and moved to Illinios where my great grandmother was supposed to have been born. I can not find anthing on her or or parents until she shows up on the 1900 Osage Reservation Census (before Oklahoma became a state in 1907) married to my Great Grandfather William H. Harrison. The Census claims she was born in May 1865 in Illinois and had been married 17 years when the census was taken on 19th of June, 1900. So that means she would have married in 1882. Do you have any suggestions for places for me to look? Carol Clements >>>> I have only replied to one person on this matter and it was NOT you, nor did it contain ANY reference like what you are saying. DO NOT GO PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH. I PUT ENOUGH THERE AS IT IS. My original question was in reference to trying to track down the ancestry of my RISTER line. They "supposedly" had Indian blood. My thots were why would they list an Indian in the census or even if they would have. Yet they appear from 1830 on. I must admit that you have really stirred up my dander on this one. NEVER have I EVER been anything but nice and cordial out here to anyone regarding genealogy. Even when they WERE related. I am truely sorry that you have no luck off of this list for your family lines. Gee, MAYBE they didn't stay. I have had all kinds of wonderful "luck" from all kinds of wonderful people who have helped me out off and on over the last 5 years. If you have that much "trouble" why not just unsubscribe and be out of it ? Obviously, it hasn't apparently helped you any. Just color me riled up.
