Is there anyone that can tell me anything about the HOLMES SCHOOL Dist. #17 in Saline Co., IL. This was one of the early schools, which no longer exist. This was located around Carrier Mills, IL. I would appreciate any info, especially the time it was in existence, where it got its name, etc. Is there any history on this school in any books? Thank you Linda Holmes White
