Is there anyone on this list who is related to the Reeds and Randolph of Saline Co. When they first migrated to southern Il. from Ky., they lived in Stonefort, and Independence in Saline and some of them in Pope Co. I know that there is a Reed Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Am wondering if they are related to some of the early Reeds. Also there was a C. Willis Reed who died in 1974 who was a descendant. Some of the early names were Cannon, Alfred, and Johnson. My gr gr gr grandmother was Nancy Pearl Reed who m. William Randolph. They moved to Saline in the mid 1840's from Bledsoe Co., Tn. Can anyone help? Jan
I had promised to relay information on how to get the book....."Commemorating 150 Years of History in Harrisburg, Illinois"..it's an 8 1/2 x 11 paperback with 89 black and white historic photos. Really nice. Call the Daily Register at 1-800283-8117. Provide your mailing information and credit card number to the front desk and they'll send your book first class in padded envelope. Cost is $15.60 per book. I got several for my brother, sister, Mother and myself. If anyone else has the book I'd like to discuss who some of the people are in the photos...the names aren't listed and it would be nice to know.
