Are there any records of Saline County residents who left the county in the 1850s and migrated to California? My GGgrandfather, John Howard (who was the first sheriff of Saline Co. ) left there in the Spring of 1854 and traveled to California and settled in Quincy, Ca (named for Quincy, Il.
