Susan 15 " Sarah 11 " Luetta (?) 8 " Cordelia 5 " Idila 1 " Note: Molly J. is missing on this C. so have to assume she died between 1870 and 1880 1900 C. Scott Co., Mo. Richland Adkins, William age 38 b: Sept 1861 IL. Susan C. 35 June 1865 " Lou A. 13 Sep 1886 " Nida 10 Nov. 1889 " Tessie 8 Dec 1891 IL. Melvin 1 July 1898 MO. Joseph C. 0/12 mo. May 1900 Mo. Middleton, Nancy C. 53 Apr 1847 Widowed b: IL. " Bessie 63 July 1836 Single " Conclusion from the above census leads me to believe that Joseph C. Middleton died between 1880 and 1900 and probably in IL. By looking at the birth places of the children of Susan we can assume that perhaps the whole family moved to Mo. around 1897/1898. Joseph C. Middleton could have died in the early 1890's. Sorry I have not found a burial place for him but someone with the Saline Co. Cemetery books should be able to assist you in that.
