I am a descedant of Herman Lewis& Nancy Gleyre (my maternal grandfather & grandmother) I have been unable to find much on the Lewis part of the family. I do however have the names of Hermans siblings. I remember Ova ,Virgil and my grandfather,Herman. I was 10 when he died. I have never been in touch with any other descendants and would be very interested in completing that branch of my genealogy.I have less information on him than any of my other grandparents families'. Herman & Nancy had 2 children my mother Lila Lee and Farrell Wayne. They died within a few days of one another 2 summers ago. My uncle Farrell had told me on more than one occation that his grandfather & grandmother were 1st cousins. I have not been able to prove or disprove that family story. I do not know when or from where their family came to Il. I am always thrilled to share my discoveries with family members.Would appreciate any information that would send me on the track to more information on this branch of our family.
