Robyn, I have wondered myself if the "Bela" Flemming in the 1860 census of Saline was not Beverly Fleming. I think there is a good possibility that he was the same person and the father of Eliza/Louisa. One of my ancestors was Mary FLEMING who married William R. CRAIG on 11 Oct 1850 in Williamson Co. IL. Mary lived to the ripe old age of 94 - long enough for me to be able to get a death certificate for her. Information supplied by her son, Sam Craig, lists her father as Beverly "FLEMENS" of TN, mother's maiden name ROBINSON of SC, date of Mary's birth 15 Aug 1832 in IL. Her obituary gives Franklin Co. IL as place of birth. Beverly FLEMING is found in 1830 and 1840 census of Franklin Co. IL, but I was never able to find him in any census records for 1850. Do you know when Eliza died? perhaps a death record or obituary would help you. Donna

In 1875, There was a S A Fleming homestead in section 25 of Frankfort in Franklin County.
