Reed last August in a brawl at the defendants' roadhouse. Although already convicted of manslaughter Davis contends he was only trying to maintain order. No date has been set for a new trial." Strother is the son of James and Stella Steel Reed. They were married in 1898 in Gallatin Co. In addition, I have the following children of James and Stell: Elizabeth Myrtle Verna Mae b. 1913, Providence, Ky. d.April 1977 Eldorado, Il. Verna married Franklin Ervil Davis (one of my folks). Joseph Reed and Lavinia Upchurch - 1 son (that I know about) Charles Edmund Reed b. 1875, Gallatin Co. m. Elvira Rice (mine) in 1894 in Gallatin Co., (have kids, if you need). My Reed line is Johnson Henry Reed (Saline County), married Elizabeth Randolph, son Henry J. Reed married Mary Ann Johnson, son Love Wilford Reed married Doane (Doni) Haynes, Viola Elizabeth Reed married Sherman John Graves. Sherman and Viola are my grandparents. There are many other Reeds.
