For anyone who cares/wonders/etc it is now almost certain that Edmund 1 Baker b 1776 was the son of Absolom Baker who bought land in Gallatin Co in 1814 and then moved to Madison Co Ill and dc 1833. This is almost certainly a part of the Maurice/Morris Baker bc1640 England line. Wondering if anyone out there has any information on William George Owen(s) b. abt 1826 Tenn. d. bef 1880 in Saline Co. Ill.? William was married three times: 1) Elizabeth Lane m 1849 Saline Co 2) Elizabeth Hankins m 1858 in Saline Co 3) Octavia Hankins (Elizabeth's sister) m 1863 Saline Co. According to census records they lived in Brushy and had the following children: 1) Isaac James b 1850 2) William Wodsworth b 1852 3) Margarett Ann b 1855 4) Francis M b 1861 5) Jasper N b 1863 6) George R b 1866 7) John W b 1868 8) Willis Riley b 1870. So far I have been unable to find an exact death date for William nor do I know where any of them are buried. Any help on any of these is appreciated. Terry Noble
