I am descendants to the Karnes Family in Galatia, Illinois. My family is planning a family reunion this summer and interested to know if anyone has information on Karnes in Saline County. Doing a search, I discovered Karnes Rd just norht of Galatia and suspect it is tied to my family, but not sure how. My great-grandparents built a school on their farm, supposedly first of its' kind in the early 1900's. If you have info, please let me know.
