I am trying to find the maiden name of the first wife of Richard John Smith b: 1840 and living in Saline Co. until his death in 1913. He was married to a Alcey/Alcy/Alcie ? bet 1860 and 1862 when their first child, Drucilla Smith was born in 1862. By 1888 Alcey was dead and Richard J. Smith married Julia A. (Rhine) DeJanett 12-27-1888. I have been unable to find a marriage record for Richard & Alcey in the IL. St. Records but maybe they were married in Hamilton Co. it isn't listed. Thanks for any help.
