Trev said an old map (1876) showed Plainview was a township in the very north east corner of Saline Co. Texas City post office was located there. My grandparents Canalas Meander and America Vienna (Williams) Scott lived in the Plainview area. Grandmother was born in Texas City. All the children were born in Eldorado. Uncle Charley Thomas Scott lived near Harrisburg a number of years. Still searching for where they are buried. Does anyone know the names of the cemeteries in Saline County and how to contact the people in charge? Please keep their names in mind when you search your roots, etc. Thanks!
