Cottage Grove is shown as a Ghost Town on the map of Saline County I have. The date 1898 is given beside the circle indicating it is a ghost town. It is shown as being in Cottage or Cottage Grove township, almost due east of Harrisburg (slightly north of Ill. Rt. 13) and almost due south of Eldorado. Slightly east of a line due south of Eldorado, and slightly north of a line going due east from Harrisburg. There was a Primitive Baptist church called Cottage Grove in this vicinity, but I'm not sure of its exact location.
