    3. I purchased the Family Tree Maker Census Index several months ago. It can help you locate your ancesters. The exact name of the CD's are "Family Tree Maker's Family Archives United States Census Bundle 1607-1880". It is just an Index only. It consists of 11 CD-ROM's. The price was $199. It can be accessed directly from the Family Tree Maker (FTM) Genealogy program. You use the last icon shown along the top of the Genealogy program, or you can get special software that alows you to access the discs. An small instruction book comes with the set. If you are looking for a name, as James Price, you would type in Price, James and it will list all James Prices in the country. You go down to say Illinois and check the counties where you might be interested. It shows the state and counties of all James Prices, say for 1840. The discs are broken down by Censes Year, but cover the complete US. FTM's Phone number is 1-800-548-1806, or on line at WWW.FamilyTreeMaker.com/book Hal Ledbetter Livingston TX -----Original Message----- From: FreckleToes@cs.com [mailto:FreckleToes@cs.com] Sent: Tuesday, November 07, 2000 3:05 AM To: ILSALINE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [ILSALINE-L] re: FTM Census index Saw the post where a FTM census index was mentioned. Am wondering what this is and where does a person get access to one...or purchase. Thanks..*paula*
