MILDRED b 23 Apr 1851, d 31 May 1862.. MARTHA b ca 1854, TN., alive May 1862. THEOPHILUS b ca 1857, TN., alive May 1862, m LINNE C. MARSHALL 9 Aug 1882, Johnson Co., IL. SUSAN L. b 29 Nov 1859, d 1 Jun 1862. JAMES H. enlisted in the UNION army 18 Aug 1861 at Stonefort, Saline Co., IL.. He gave his post office as Zion Hill, Pope Co., IL.. He was captured at Fort Donelson and paroled in May of 1862, with the small pox. He died 8 May 1862 at home and was buried in the Rushing Cem., Johnson Co., IL. Within 30 days small pox took a deadly toll on the family, ABRAHAM died 29 May 1862 and then PRESTON W., MILDRED and SUSAN died and all were buried in Zion Cem., Pope Co., IL. NANCY C. d 25 Mar 1905 and is buried with her family in Zion.. .
