I am in need of the address of the Saline Co. Courthouse to send for a copy of the will and probate packet of my 3rd g-grandfather George N. PEMBERTON who died in Saline Co. March 3, 1871. Would I address the letter to the County Clerk/ or if not, who would have custody of such records? I would appreciate any assistance. I don't have the address because I live in Oregon, but I believe my grandmother, Polly Pemberton (Smith) , may be related. Her father was John I. Pemberton born 02/02/1829 in Tennessee and died 10/19/88 in Saline Co. John's father was George Pemberton born about 1802 in Virginia and died March 3, 1871. His mother was Celia (no maiden name). Polly married Clarence Smith. His father was Dr. Charles A. Smith born in Tennessee and died in Saline County in October, 1881.
