Debbie, I would like to butt in here about the fishing for your husband. Southern Illinois has a lot of fishing areas. Rend Lake, Crab Orchard Lake, Little Grassey Lake, Devils Kitchen lake, just to mention a few. All would be within easy traveling range of wherever you stay close to Harrisburg, Saline County. My husband lived in Saline County for a few years with his first wife back in the '80s which is why he is willing to take me on a research there (even though its his family I'm researching<g>). When his father moved back to Saline County after many years absence, my husband moved next door to him when he was laying brick in Southern Illinois. Of course, when he got a divorce from his first wife, he decided to move back to where he grew up, Kankakee. So needless to say, he's really looking forward to fishing there once again! He keeps on asking me to find out if there is any freezing on the ponds and lakes. Hint, hint... <VBG> We are even going to make a detour to Massac county to do some research for my side of the family, so he'll get in lots of fishing!
