I have just found out a new clue on my great great grandfather Douglas Carter. I was so excited when I found out about this and barely can contain myself. Found out that Douglas Carter was born 1846 in Macon County, Tennessee, married to Sarah Caroline Vantrease in Carterville, Illinois. He died in April 12, 1873 in Raleigh, Illinois. Now we got him. What I want to know is how many cemeteries are there in Raleigh? Is there any web site or url I can check for his burial place? Or does anybody have a cemetery book they can look up for me? Now I got to track down on who is his parents and siblings. Now I know now when Douglas Carter had died. Here I had been looking high and low places for him.
