Can you help me understand the territory or town of "Edwards"?? Where will it be at? In Company "E" 29th Illinois Infantry, my great great grandfather, Douglas Carter. I presume this Edwards is a town and in Saline County. Am I correct?? Here what it said on Douglas Carter: CARTER, Douglas; Rank: Recruit Residence: Edwards Date of Mustered: August 23, 1864 Mustered out: November 6, 1865 I have look to see who else was from Edwards and notice that there is just 2 men from Edwards. One is Douglas Carter and other is Francis R. DUNNEGAN. He is just like Douglas Carter and it make me wonder if they are friends or family. If you can help me understand where Edwards is situated at, like is it near Cornerville or Tate Township. You know what, what I need is a map of Illinois.
