Thank for sharing my joy with me. Yippee!!!! I have wish that 2001 New Year would be good to me, that ancestors will fall down on my lap. As least I know when he died. Here my great grandfather John Henry Carter had married to Mary Alice Souther in 1891 in Saline County, and it said his father was Douglas Carter and mother VANTREASE. It was his mother that was Sarah Caroline Vantrease Carter Kelly. Found the marriage record of Mrs. Sarah Carter married to Giles Kelly in 1877 in Saline County. Can you imagine me trying to find Douglas Carter, wonder what happen to him, did he died or did they divorced???? Then got to looking in genforum on Carter and Vantrease and lo and behold, there was his name and everything. Right now, I am talking to the lady who could be my long lost cousin. We are trying to figure out the puzzles to our families. It could be that her Ellie Carter is my great grandfather's sister. Hot diggety dog!!! Ain't this wonderful!! Just want to share my joy with my friends in Saline County on what happen. Thank everybody for alway been there for me.
