I'm doing his 'tree' for him. My husband is Charles Church [Chuck], and his great grandparents were Charles Yates and Laura Bell Durfee. One of their daughters was Hattie Yates who is Chuck's grandmother. Chuck's father was Charles Price [Church] the son of Hattie Yates and John Price. Can someone do a look-up for the 1870 Census for Saline County for a family where one of the children will be Charles Yates. Charles was born 18 Jun 1854 in "a covered wagon between TN and KY. He died 16 Oct 1923 in Saline Co IL. He married Laura Durfee 27 Apr 1873 in Saline Co IL.. I just need to know the names of Charles' parents and/or any siblings. Thanks kindly, Susan in Oregon

Hello, Wonder if anyone has any info on Ellen Nora Eaton born Aug 1871, to George & Nancy (Cox) Eaton, md. in Saline Co. Charles Ogden Endicott (1888-1944) son of Jesse Endicott and ??? Ogden in 1890. They had at least one child-Edna P. born in Jan 1893 then in 1896 Charles md Catharine Harris so assume Ellen Nora died? Could someone who has a Funeral home book or cemetery book for Saline Co. see if there is a listing for Ellen Nora (Eaton) Endicott. Also does anyone know what happened to Edna? Anyone looking for information on the Stricklin Family, I ran across this funeral notice in my grandmothers papers. I thought it might help someone out there. IDA I. STRICKLIN, wife of E. M. Stricklin, born April 22, 1870, died Feb 23, 1903, aged 33 years 10 months and 1 day. Funeral from family residence at 1:00 o'clock P. M. to-day, Feb 24. Services by Rev. A. S. Maxey. Interment at city cemetery. All friends of the family are invited. Harrisburg, Illinois, February 24, 1903. Why my grandmother had this notice, is not clear, but she lived in Saline county a lot of years near the old Cain Church and school on RR#2 Harrisburg, Illinois. Jim
