    3. Hi Norm, Is this the same John Coffee that was married to Nancy Rhine? The only info that I have on Nancy's death date is that she died sometime before 1879. Let me know if you any dates on this or John Coffee's birth and death info. Perhaps we can exchange info. Thanks, Barbara "Norman L. 3. Charles, I have a copy of a chapter in a book written in 1913 by an ancestor of mine, Dr. F. F. Johnson, that was co-written by JOHN J. JONES who may be related to you. It mentions some COFFEE people, Horatio is one of them. Here is the paragraph from the book: "James Burnett, John Milton Burnett and Julia Burnett were born in Virginia in the rotation, I believe, as above given. James was never married, having met with an accident in youth which rendered him a cripple for life. Julia married Horatio Coffee Feb. 22, 1823. Uncle Horatio also served in the Black Hawk war. Nine children were born to them, who reached maturity, and two or three who died before reaching that age. Allen B. Coffee and G. G. Coffee served three years as soldiers in the war of the Rebellion, the first in Co. E, 29th Illinois Infantry, the second in Co. E, 110th Illinois Infantry. I think there are but three of Aunt Julia's children living at this time, Richard M., Robert A. and Cloach Coffee, her other children having died leaving children with whom I am not sufficiently acquainted to enable me to write with certainty." Sounds like this could be your line. If so, I guess we are related somehow as the Burnett's are in my line. I can send you the whole chapter if you want, it is pretty interesting. You can email me directly. 3. Jackie, Nancy C. Rhine is part of one of my direct lines - I am the daughter of Willis N. RHINE and Mary O. JONES. I have very little on the COFFEE line before John Roberts COFFEE. If memory serves correctly - and no comment needed there - John COFFEE is buried at Rhine Cemetery, just outside of Raleigh. I have some headstone photos from there and I'm not sure if I have his, but I'll check. I do have one of the church that is still there, but services are no longer held in it to my knowledge. I would like to add more info on the COFFEE line, as one of these children was living in the Rhine home in an early census, so there may be another connection. I would be more than happy to provide RHINE info in exchange and perhaps we could make more connections. Thank you for your response, Barbara Gammon7@aol.com wrote: > Barbara, > Yes, I have John Roberts Coffee that married Nancy C. Grandison was a younger brother to my Horatio Roberts Coffee. The information I have, was given to me by another Coffee researcher - not sure which one - anyway, how can I help you? I will contact the "cousins" that have this direct line and give them your e-mail, in case the are not on the list right now. Jackie Sometimes my mind wanders, and sometimes it leaves completely...

    1. Re: [ILSALINE-L] Vineyard/Vinyards in Saline County
    2. I don't list an Anderson Vineyard as related to my Amos T. Vineyard (the "T" stands for Thornsbury). My lineage goes through John Edgar Vinyard b. April 26, 1878 m. Essie Duffee August 28, 1902 d. Vinita, OK Dec. 25, 1951. The children I have listed for my Amos T. Vineyard (or Vinyard, spelled both ways in records) were Sarah A. (1867-1879); Mary Ellen (1869-1959); James F. (1870-1931); Margaret Ann (1871-1889); George G. (1874-1948); Lena (1874-1943); Eligia (1876-1877); John Edgar (1878-1951); Delila (1880-1971); Isaac (1882-1967); and Abraham or Abram (1890-1899). Amos T. Vineyard's father was Joshua I. (1812-1877); I also list his brothers and sisters. Military records appear to link Joshua to Stephen Vineyard and Isaiah Vineyard (Gallatin Co.) and Elizabeth "Patsy" Patterson. I would like to compare notes to see if your Vinyard is related.
