Barbara, I can't say for sure that the George Kelly you knew was related to the Kelleys I'm searching for but it's quite possible. The Kelley's migrated to Saline Co.IL. in the early 1800's. I'll keep an eye out for George in the family tree though. I'm looking for ancestors of George Robertson and his wife Magnolia (surname unknown to me). They had 2 children that I know of - Mae Belle (who married Ezra Thomas Sheldon) and Frank.
