Thank you everyone for looking my Woolard's up for me! You were able to supply me with some information that I didn't have (those three young children), and some dates I could only guess at. Well since I've already made my husband promise me to take a research trip down to Saline County (after all it's his family I'm researching <g>), now at least I know where I can find these graves to take some pictures of. The only cemetery we knew for sure was where my father-in-law is buried (Tate's Chapel Cemetery). Thank you once again for looking them up! Debbie

Do any of you out there know any of my unidentified photos on my page? They could be from the Saline County area. They are at http://sites.netscape.net/jfm53usa/homepage Thank You for looking, and If you can help email me directly.
I looked thru my cemetry books and did not find a John or Naldo Woolard in them. Sorry. ----- Original Message ----- From: Debbie and Jeff Woolard <dwoolard@keynet.net> To: <ILSALINE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 05, 2001 12:05 AM Subject: [ILSALINE-L] Need a cemetery > Hi everyone, > I'm looking for what cemetery John Naldo WOOLARD is buried in. I'm having the same problem with my Davis line in NC and Tn and with the Nolens in Gallatin and Saline counties. Somebody should have told me that researching families is just plain hard work with temporary moments of excitement! Maybe I would have found another (less aggravating) hobby. Debbie I found a John Woolard at Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. The only information is Co E 29 Ill Inf. No dates. At Ebenezer Cemetery in Galatia Twp. I found James H. and Alice V. Woolard with children; Ollie P., Little Sonny, and Pearl. A Gertrude Woolard is buried with them. Nov 28, 1879 - June 11, 1962. There are a bunch of Woolards buried at Ebenezer. Hope this helps. Ernie James Rex Beasley was a nephew of Irene Beasley on her fathers brothers side of the family. Robert
Hi everyone, I'm looking for what cemetery John Naldo WOOLARD is buried in. He died in 1903 in Saline County. His wife "might" be buried next to him. Her name was Gertrude (Abney) Woolard. But I think she might have been buried in Williamson county with her second husband. John Naldo (he went by the name of Naldo) Woolard was the son of James Woolard and Alice Wise. My husband is Naldo and Gertrude's great grandson. Hopefully someone here, who has some of the cemetery books can help me find what cemetery he (or they) are buried in. Debbie Woolard - IBSSG ICQ # 83725129 Researching surnames: Abney, Croach/Crouch, Crockett, McIntyre, Pankey, Ryan, Smith, Stepter, Wise, Woolard
I recall a James Rex Beasley from high school in Eldorado. He played basketball and was a senior in the 1950 class. I don't know what ever happened to him but perhaps Irene was related to him, mother or aunt. Ernie Heltsley
Does anyone researching Uriah's line have anything on EDWARD BAKER his uncle ?? I still show an Edward Baker s/o Thomas Baker + Sarah Wood brother to James Baker Uriah's father. I've always had an inkling that Edward may have been Edmund. Thanks, steve sspunk@aol.com
Donna I'm starting to figure that Edmund was born right there in Harrisburg and never left !! The boundries all changed instead !! steve
Mildred Irene Beasley was born in Oct 1898 in Eldorado and died in 1971 in Paragould Arkansas. She worked for many years in Chicago and died having never been married. However I heard a rumor once when I was little that she married once. It apparently didn't work out because nobody ever talked about it. Does anybody have an idea how to check this out. If the marriage was annulled would there be any record of it? Robert (Jinks) rcw6@prodigy.net http://www.angelfire.com/wi/lostgenes/
Steve, Yes, he could have been born in the part of NC that became Tn. What he (or his wife) told the census taker is anybody's guess. I find the birth places changing from one census to the next. I have the Wolf Creek listing and there are lots of Carters, but no Douglas. Do you know if he went by another name - nickname or middle name? Actually, he wasn't listed in any of the other cemetery books of Saline Co., either. ----- Original Message ----- From: James Young <jtjjy@surfree.com> To: <ILSALINE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 02, 2001 8:58 PM Subject: Re: [ILSALINE-L] Douglas Carter in Raleigh > Geez, thank for letting me know. Can anyone on the list explain to me what happened to the Williamson Co. Website? I get messages that it has moved with a link, then it says I'm not allowed to visit. Sye
