There is a Lady buried in the Rice Cemetery in Saline County, Illinois that the Rice researchers have tried to identify as our 2nd great-grandmother but even the State Archives and Saline County have no information on her. It is said that almost everyone interned there is Rice related. The stone has ELIZABETH GRIFFIN b. 31 June 1812 d. 7 September 1887 In Franklin County, Tennessee Elizabeth Rice (2nd great-grandmother) after the death of our 2nd Great-grandfather, she married a William Griffin/Griffith. Both surnames have been used. My question is if any of the Griffin researchers can supply me with information on the identity of this Lady.
