    2. Hi, I don't have much but here it is: I lived next to a Gwaltney family in the early 1949-50 in Eldorado's Beulah Heights section on the north side. I don't know their first names. They had a son who worked as a station agent for the L&N Railroad that then had a station in town. The old man seemed really old then, means probably 60s or 70s. I was probably 15 or 16. I have never understood why the name was pronounced "Gortney." Ernie Heltsley/Tucson

There's also quite a few in Pope County.
