I also attended at that same time and was acquainted with him. He would probably have been born in 1932-33, because I was born in 1933 (I was the youngest student in school when I was a Freshman.) We just had our 50th Class Reunion last year, and Bennie attended it. The address I have in my book for him is: 27048 Alabanbra Dr., Punta Gorda, FL, 33955. The same address was also listed in the 40th Year Class Reunion, so it seems that he has lived there for quite awhile. I remember him well, even though I only see him at our Class Reunions...which are every 5 years. Hope this will be a help in locating him. Bonnie, are there any Abney, Summers/Somers, or Stone family members buried there? Those are some of my surnames from Saline Co.. My gg grandfather, Joshua Abney, is buried in Saline Co. on a farm at Galatia, Ill.. I would love to have a picture of his gravestone, if it still exists. My gg grandmother, Sarah "Sally" (Stone) Abney is Buried in Bushy Cem., Saline Co., Ill. Are you near there? I have a picture of Joshua that I will be glad to share by e-mail. Does anyone have a picture of Sarah (Stone) Abney? John J. Summers/Somers was my gg grandfather from Saline Co. I have a picture of him that I would be glad to share. Does anyone out there have a picture of his wife, Isabella Jackson, my gg grandmother. I'm not sure where she is buried but I think in Saline Co. I would love pictures of these folks or of their gravestones...Betty Pickens Phillips in Texas awbpphil@cox-internet.com ----- Original Message ----- From: Bonnie R. Hi, I keep wondering who your dad is and his family name...so decided to write and ask. I grew up going to the Spring Valley Church...I knew many, many of the people buried there. Even though I don't know everyone buried there, I can probably verify most of the names. Are you looking for someone in particular? Does anyone know where burial permits are maintained? Thanks. Carl
Does anyone have a copy of the 1880 Saline County census and can look up an Abraham/Abram/Abe Vaughn for me? My pop is looking for his cousin, Benjamin Joseph Vaughn, born around 1932/1933 in Harrisburg. This Abe Vaughn was his father. Thanks so much... Lori Smith Andrews

Hi Robert, My great grandfather resided in Pope Co. and he had two daughters who married Webb men. One was Isaac Webb and the other George Webb. Does this fit in your family somewhere? Donna

Donna DSmith1216@aol.com ______________________________________________________ Donna, You might try subscribing to the Franklin Co, IL list also. There are many descendants of Lazarus Webb online. This is a great group and some of the friendliest, most helpful people you will ever find. I am not a Webb descendant but went to the reunion just to met the great people on the list. I plan to try to make it again this year. ILFRANKL-L@rootsweb.com Sheila recently posted a message regarding the Webb Reunion and workwhop in Benton, Il scheduled for July. I'm not sure. All I can tell you is that my Webb line is from Eli and Lazarus, brothers who came to Franklin county before 1818. I don't know whether those in Pope county are connected. Greetings, list! We are in the process of adding a page to our website, for each county, with a sketch history of Regular (Primitive) Baptist churches in each county, and where possible, with surnames of members. These pages hopefully will be refined as time goes on. Today we added several more counties, including Saline and Hamilton, as well as some in west central Illinois. If you wish to see the link and the pages I am referring to, the website address is: http://www.carthage.lib.il.us/community/churches/primbap/pbl.html or go directly to the Family History Assistance page at: http://www.carthage.lib.il.us/community/churches/primbap/FamHist.html Thanks. The Spring Valley Cemetery is about 13 miles south of Harrisburg. From Harrisburg you take HWY 145 South to Mitchellsville. There you take HWY 34 East approximately 4 to 5 miles. There will be a sign for Spring Valley Social Brethern Church on the right hand side of Hwy. Turn right (south) onto this gravel road and follow it approx 1 mile to the church. The cemetery is next to the church. Our family has many relatives there, DUNCAN, TARLTON, WOMACK, GIBBS, MATTINLY, FOLLOWELL, KILLMAN, along with a few others. Good luck in your search. B. Trev: In your Books of mid to late 1800's does it list a Davis Moore any where? I can on with this name of an Old marriage record and it has thrown me for a loop. And also would like to find the name of Thomas Moore and Nancy Bean's son. to see if maybe he was born in White CO 1881. In the Saline Co marriage book (1847-1880), Thomas P. Moore, age 20, born Saline Co, married 4 Nov 1879 to Nancy Bean, age 13, born Saline Co.. Groomspersons were: Fuel Moore & Elvira Easley. Bridespersons were: Thomas Bean & Ema(sp) Cummins. It looks like there is another obit in 1966. This would be in Vol 2, of which I > don't have (someone on the Hamilton Co list will have this Vol). This obit is > probly for one of the children. Looks like this Thomas Moore only had one child > and then he died in 1883. I don't see an obit for Thank You Ronnie Moore runt@rectec.net surnames: Moore,Maple,Clayton,Howard.Hays Stone,,Veal,Neil,Mitchell,Davis,Kirk,Bramlet Clutts, Samons, Jordan, Gray ICQ 9642318
