    2. Speaking of Berry Bush's.................. ooooooohhhhhhhh....... I gotta ....... I CAN'T help it ................................ Grampa had alot of them in his back yard . god they were good !!!!! Blackberry, blueberry, boysenberry, rasberry, and even Gooseberry. Gramma used to make the best dang pies in the city. Back in a time when you got a GREAT education from some GREAT teachers. Some of whom were also from Saline Co area. I DO have a Bush in the tree so to speak also tho . >>> Descendants of Berry Bush 1 Berry Bush . +Rebecca 2 William Bush b: June 1831 in Illinois d: Aft. 1900 .... + Nancy Jane Johnson b: April 1857 Ill m: March 20, 1897Saline Co Illinois 2 Nancy Bush 2 Furrin Bush 2 Mary Bush 2 Elizabeth Bush 2 Stephen Bush 2 Elijah Bush >>> Nancy Jane Johnson d/o Elijah J Johnson (s/o John Johnson + Mary Greer) + Lovinia Baker (d/o Edmund Baker 1807 + Sarah Ann Johnson d/o John Johnson + Mary Greer ) ... 1. [ILSALINE-L] Green Berry Bush
    2. I followed with interest the discussion last month on the Bush and Dorris lines. Wanted to jump in, but was on vacation and away from source documents. My gg grandmother was Elois/Ellen Holland Bush Evans (1844-1924), daughter of James Holland and Elizabeth Dorris, granddaughter of Elijah Dorris. Her first marriage was to Green Berry Bush on 13 March 1859 in Saline Co., IL. Her second, to my gg grandfather Thomas Evans, was on 6 August 1863 in Saline Co. My gg grandmother received Civil War widow's pensions from both marriages. When I received Thomas Evans' Civil War Pension information from NARA, also included was information on Green Berry Bush. This particular Green Berry Bush was a private in Co., E, 3rd IL Cav., enlisting in Eldorado on 14 August 1861. He reportedly died of dysentery on 19 Nov 1861 near Lebanon, MO. I have no idea where this Green Berry Bush might fit into anyone's family, just thought I'd submit the information. Kay Davidson

    1. [ILSALINE-L] Cemetery Records
    2. While visiting So. Ill. in July, I found my ggrands and my gggrands at a cemetery known as Ebinezer (sp?) Hall Cemetery (near Lick Creek Road). On some documents it is also called Lick Creek Hall Cemetery. I noticed two graves right next to my gggrands with the same last name (HENDERSON) that I could not fully read or otherwise identify. From a search of the court houses and libraries in the area, it appears that this cemetery has yet to be inventoried. Can someone verify that for me? Is this on anyone's list to do? Is there someone I can write to who would have the cemetery records? I am a bit desperate in that my intense week plus of original research on my four year search for "my" John Henderson failed to reveal another generation back. Will be grateful for any ideas. I thank you all in advance. If you would be so kind as to cc my e-mail direct (I'm not sure which lists are active on my computer since I have been away from home for so long). Cheers, Jo Ann Henderson Higdon [email protected]
