None of the lists were getting mail last week. They were down while Rootsweb did a PM... Researching: Jones, Mace, Sullivan, Keaton and many others... Best Regards, Trev
I'm still researching: EDMONDS/EDMONS, William H. (died 19 Nov 1915). His first wife was Hattie MOORE, died 16 April 1892? and I believe his second was Sara GASKINS O'BRIAN--not positive of the order of the surnames at this time. I wish I could tell you more. I'm guessing that his name might have been Benjamin, but it is just a guess. He m. Nancy Pearl Randolph 15 May 1859. Nancy was the d/o of William and Nancy Pearl Reed Randolph who moved to Stonefort, Saline ca. 1848. She was b. Tn. ca. 1836. He attended the estate sale of Wm. Randolph in 1856 and purchased a few items. That's all I know. Hi- What is the Stone/Reynolds relationship? Maybe I can help. Carl Reynolds
Several individual have spoken about association with Reynolds and Bonds. I, too, am looking for them as they are related to the Stone, Abney, Brown, Isham, Boatright families. Is anyone looking at similar relationships? > ....and Loretta Dixon....both born 1946 > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Thursday, October 23, 2003 7:26 PM > Subject: [ILSALINE-L] Quiet Lately > > > > I am still searching the following families from Saline Co., Ill > > Melton,Dixon, Dorris, Williams, Bush. My line has a Sarah Dixon born in approximatly 1819. I know she lived in Saline, Williamson County in 1880. She was then a Parson. Her sons name was J. T. and daughter was Mary Parson Smith. Mary had a daughter Sarah Smith Davis who was my Grandmother and a son named Riley Smith. I think they lived in or near Saline all or most of their lives. Could this be any relation? Jan: I am not sure if John W Young is related to B>S> YOung who married a Randolph. I have the marriage bond and copies of certificates for William L Young and Margaret Dunn, parents of John W Young, and also his marriage licenses to Sarah Tanner, Bettie (Elizabeth) Boren Bourland? and to Martha Dunn. I think these were sisters at least 2 of them. They married in the late 1880's, except for William and Margaret of course. Their bond is in Caldwell county Ky, I am trying to piece together when they came to Stonefort/Carrier Mills and where they lived in Ky. John was born in Dec of 1855. There was some cousins named Donna YOung and Sadie and a boy cousin, can't remember his name. They lived in Marion Ill. back in the 50's and 60's. Lost track of them after they married . I had a great uncle Ewing YOung. My grandfather was Alonzo Virgil YOung who married a Leona Brandon, and her sister Julia married a Henshaw. Thanks for answering. Maybe if you will tell me more about htis BS, it may be a later descendent. I am finding that any piece of information helps.
