Evans born abt. 1862 in Illinois. I was able to track him back to the 1900 federal census and then I hit a wall. The census said that his father was born in Kentucky and his mother was born in maybe Virgina. At sometime he moved to Indiana where he and his wife Mary Woodruff had at least 3 children.
