I am looking for a marriage or death record for a couple that lived in Illinois (somewhere) in the 1880's. Is it possible that I would find anything for those years? I pulled up six records for Francis Jeffery marriage but need to join to look at them. His wife, Elizabeth Rogers died there. Is this something you can do for a couple months and is it hard to cancel? They lived there such a short time. Thanks for any help. Virginia, I checked the Illinois State Archives Marriage database - http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/archives/databases.html but found no listing anywhere in Illinois for a marriage for Francis Jeffery (any spelling) and Elizabeth Rogers (also any spelling). There is a database for deaths pre-1916, but they don't have listings for all of the counties. Sorry I couldn't have been more help.
