    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: tifosa74 Surnames: Skroko Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.illinois.unknown/12489/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello all! I'm trying to locate the death certificate for Catherine Skroko. I've managed to find her birth certificate through Cook County Vital Records and there is a handwritten note on it that reads "child died." Her details are as follows: Name: Catherine Skroko DOB: 4-28-1933 Mother: Rose Skroko Father: Unknown Born in Cook County, IL -Family urban legend believes she was buried around Johnston City, IL (I've started contacting cemeteries directly to confirm.) Also through Cook County Vital Records there is a Catherine Skroko death certificate (date of death: 9-20-1934), but this is a different person. This was Rose's sister Catherine, parents the same as Rose's. Does anyone have suggestions on where I might be able to turn up a death certificate. If a child died in birth, are death certificates completed too? Appreciate any guidance! Thank you in advance, Liz Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Not sure about all States, but in AZ birth certificates are recorded for stillborn children. If they are given a name it is there, or if not, just "child (parent's surname)" and parent's names. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 09, 2009 2:36 PM Subject: [ILROOTS] Finding Death Certificate (Catherine Skroko) > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: tifosa74 > Surnames: Skroko > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.illinois.unknown/12489/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > Hello all! > > I'm trying to locate the death certificate for Catherine Skroko.
