In fact, I published the Ayling Family History in 2004. Alfred is shown on the 1880 census living in Eureka, Jefferson County, Nebraka with his brothers, Maron (Marcus) Stainbrook, head of household, his wife and children, another brother: Oscar D. Stanbrook and Alfred H. Stainbrook, age 34, born in Penn.; parents both born in Pennsylvania. Was Alfred estranged from his wife and children who are shown living in Indiana and Ohio. Cora is shown in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, at age 9, living with another family.... perhaps her mother's sister. It is believed that Alfred and Mary Jane were separated. Mary Jane is shown on the 1880 census living in Logansport, Indiana, with her two youngest daughters, Josie and Lillie.
