Pantagraph, The (Bloomington, IL) - February 21, 1999 Deceased Name: Emma S. Dzuryo STREATOR - Emma S. Dzuryo, 99, of 411 E. 12th St., Streator, died at 12:41 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 20, 1999) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator. Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen's Church, Streator, with Monsignor Peter Bolerasky officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Streator. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Solon Funeral Home, Streator, with the rosary recited at 6 p.m. Mrs. Dzuryo was born Aug. 7, 1899, in Heenanville, a daughter of John and Rose Andrejcek Lesak. She married John Dzuryo on Sept. 9, 1919. He died Aug. 10, 1954. Survivors include four daughters, Frances (Max) Allen, Streator; Lucille (James) Churney, Streator; Mary Anne McNamara, Dwight; and Theresa McNamara, Dwight; one sister, Margaret Bentlin, Streator; one brother, Edward Lesak, Streator; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Brian Allen, Bruce Allen, Ronald Allen, Paula Benjelloun, James Churney Jr., Cynthia Claggett, Mary Lynne Derrington, Cathy Ferguson, Mary Jayne LaBahn, Kevin McNamara, Donald McNamara Jr., Janet Neville and Debra Vezain. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Sabina Katcher and Matilda Majerchin; and two brothers, John Lesak and Alex Lesak. Mrs. Dzuryo was a member of St. Stephen's Church, Streator. She was a charter member of St. Stephen's Altar and Rosary Society, Margaret Roper Study Club, and St. Anne's Society Branch No. 66 of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association.
