That's one spelling version I hadn't tried. You have been very helpful. This couple ended up in Pitkin County, CO in 1880. Have never been able to locate them in 1870. They were probably on some trail heading West when that census was taken. I live in Henderson County, NC, where do you live if you don't mind me asking?
