I found this one for your Joyhn Paul's father because of the other researchers work for you. Chicago Tribune (IL) - March 20, 1949 Deceased Name: JOHN LEE UDELL John Lee Udell, 63, of 102 N. Sheridan rd., Highland Park, died yesterday in his home. He was general manager of the Pioneer Publishing company, which publishes the Highland Park News, the Lake Forest News, and the Deerfield News. He came to Highland Park in 1908 from Rantoul, Champaign county, his birthplace, and started a job printing shop, later founding the Highland Park Press, which he sold in 1940 to the Highland Park News. Two years later it was acquired by the Pioneer Publishing company. He was a former president of the Illinois Press association, and of the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Nellie E. Udell; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Anderson, Mrs. Phyllis McMillan, and Mrs. Jacqueline Vanderlip; two sons, N. Lee Udell, public relations director for the Chicago National bank, and John Paul Udell; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Cope, and a brother, B. B. Udell. PHOTO CAPTION: J. L. UDELL's obit(brother of John Lee UDELL)) Chicago Tribune (IL) - May 14, 1956 Deceased Name: Bertram B. Udell Bertram B. Udell, 78, of 302 Park av., Wilmette, died yesterday in Evanston hospital. He retired the first of the year from a printing business which he operated for many years in Wilmette. In the mid-1920's, when he was publishing a paper known as the Wilmette Announcements, he conducted a feud with Wilmette and Evanston police over what he described as speed traps. He leaves his widow, Tenna; two daughters, Mrs. Matthew A. Conrad and Mrs. Adolph H. Moeller; three sons, Clare, Edwin, and Lloyd; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Cope, and a brother., Paul. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow in the chapel at 1100 Greenleaf av., Wilmette. Edition: Chicago Tribune Copyright 1956, Chicago Tribune.
