Thomas Elder, my Husband's grgrgrgrandfather. I would like to ask him about the War of 1812 and what the journey to Detroit was like. Why did he marry Hannah Semans in Ohio prior to leaving for war? What the years in Illinois were like and in the end, I'd like to know if he stayed in Nebraska (where he was when he wrote for his Pension), or did he and his third wife, Mary, come back to Schuyler Co., Illinois to finish their life together (or are they buried in Nebraska)?
