Modendricker, 84, of East Peoria, died at 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at ManorCare at Riverview. Born Aug. 29, 1917, in Peoria to William and Marie Casey Stevenson, she married Martin H. Modendricker on Aug. 29, 1936, in Tazewell County. He died on Oct. 30, 1959, in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one granddaughter. Surviving are four daughters, Jan (and Jim) Geber of East Peoria, Kathy (and Bob) Favorite of Peoria Heights, Mary Ann Bone of Washington and Penny (and Larry) Yuhas of Springfield; three brothers, Calvin (and Kate) Stevenson, Harold (and Mary) Stevenson, and Ross (and Barbara) Stevenson, all of Peoria; two sisters, Dorothy Hilton of Long Beach, Calif., and Anne Bosse of Knoxville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She worked in the accounting department at Carson Pririe Scott in Peoria for many years. She later worked at the St. Francis School of Nursing as a housemother for 18 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the East Peoria Women's Club, and the Cloverdale Home Extension Group. She also was active with the Sweet Creations Committee for the Festival of Lights for 10 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in East Peoria, where she was active with the Naomi-Rachael Fellowship. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at her church, where visitation will be one hour before. The Rev. Vaughn Hoffman will officiate. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery. Deiters Funeral Home in Washington is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to her church. Peoria Journal Star, The (IL) - March 13, 2004 Deceased Name: Harold Stevenson PEORIA - Harold E. Stevenson, 77, of Peoria died at 1:18 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center. Born April 13, 1926, in Peoria to William H. and Marie Casey Stevenson, he married Mary Lou Cramblet in Oct. 9, 1948, in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Michael (and Mary Jo) of Lake Bluff; two brothers, Ross (and Barbara) and Calvin (and Kate), both of Peoria; two sisters, Anne Bosse of Knoxville, Tenn., and Dorothy Hilton of California; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and two infant siblings. A World War II Navy veteran, he was a member of the Bartonville American Legion. He worked for CILCO for 41 years, until retiring in 1988 as a crew leader. He was a member of Blue Lake Sportsman's Club. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Methodist Medical Center Hospice Services. Stevenson, 84, of Peoria died at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Methodist Medical Center. He was born Oct. 17, 1923, in Peoria, a son of William and Marie Casey Stevenson. He married Kathline Bogle on Aug. 27, 1947, in Peoria. Surviving are his wife of Peoria; two daughters, Cheryl (Raymond) Vogel of Peoria and Cindey (Larry) Van Etten of Eureka; one brother, Ross (Barb) Stevenson of Peoria; one sister, Anna Mae Bosse of Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson, three brothers and three sisters. A member of the Sheet Metal Workers, Local 1 in Peoria, Calvin was a sheet metal worker for J.A. Fritch Heating and Air Conditioning, retiring in 1985. A World War II Navy veteran, he was a member of VFW Post 8662 in Peoria and the American Legion Limestone Post 979 in Bartonville. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2008, at Lutheran Cemetery. Joann Lambie, S.A.M., will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at The Wilton Mortuary. Burial will follow services in Lutheran Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard and the American Legion Limestone Post 979.
