    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. What I originally said was Herbert Ray was with his grandmother and stepgrandfather in 1900, inwhich he was, and Bert was in Iowa with Herbert's mother. We seem to be having a communication deficit going on and understanding what is actually being said. I never said Thomas was anywhere on 1900 in postings. I don't know why you think I did. I said little Herbert was with grandmother. I know some sad stories on Herbert's childhood and father's temper because I read the old newspapers. You may also do so as they are online and searchable. I won't leave you a direct link to find them as it causes spam to the site if I do. To find the online database though is easy. Go to google 'dot' com (can't leave link but this gives you the idea). When there enter in the search space Quincy Historical Newspaper Archive Your 'hit' coming up should be Quincy Public Library Click it and you should arrive to the newspaper database. Forget I keep putting an 'e' in Quincy, I know better just never remember to not do it. I'm not so awful, I just have little tolerance for people who are asking for help and then become slamming in their replies with 'attitude'--I just gave you a bit of your own 'tactics' back at you in my own reply to you--just to show you it is not a nice way to keep getting assistance. I do actually hope you find your necessary information to form your tree and am pleased to hear you have actually found and ordered some of the documentation. So many people don't bother with that part of gathering their family tree and it's an important part of it for future generations. Your on your way, you are just getting frustrated along your path. Keep at it, you'll get there. I hope you find the paper database without much trouble, but as I said, leaving direct links causes problems for the site linked to and I don't wish to cause them spam.
