I know that he had siblings and they settled in L'Anse, Michigan. I am not sure who else came over with them. My grandfather died in 1973 and was born in the late 1800's. He married Jessie Running Golquist who died in 1981. They are buried in the cemetary in L'Anse. My mother is still living and she stated that my grandfather stated that their name originally was spelled Gouldquist but was changed when they came to the US.
