I have my GrGrGrandmother marring my GrGrGrandfather: Elizabeth Shaw to Wm. Henry Asbury in JoDavies Co., IL. In 1849. 1850 they are in WI. In the 1850 & 1860 census, before GrGrGrandmother's death, one census states OH, another IL, after these, her children state: WI, IN. I know that there are Shaw's in both IL and WI but I am hoping that maybe a 1845 census, might be able to help me locate at least all Elizabeth Shaw's born abt: 1834, no matter which state. This way, I can try and contact each state and see if they might have biographical sketches of that time peroid that would lead me to see if any of these could indeed be my GrGrGrandmother. I would rather not leave a stone unturned, as what we always seem to think is, isn't. My family seem's to have many mis-leads. Sometime around late 1869 or early 1870 she dies. And we still cannot find her grave in WI. Thank you all very much. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Kind reguards, Martha in CA Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
