My Grandmother was married a total of what I found to be 3 times and not just twice. There is NO record in the 1930 U.S Federal census that has either of them listed anywhere in Chicago Illinois, Cook County, which is unusual since my Birth mother was born in Chicago Illinois in 1934, but am hoping that when the 1940 U.S Federal Census comes out in 2012, I will finally be able to solve the long awaited puzzle. I now have a copy of a picture of my Grandmother and her Second husband as well, given to me from my first cousin. It was part of his father's property and family things, after his father, my uncle died. My other first cousin's one daughter was also able to give me some copies of some other family pictures as well, which I treasure. dloglesby57@yahoo.com Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Have you searched in the "collar areas" to Chicago? They may have located just outside the city borders, but went to either the nearest (or their 'favorite') hospital which was in Chicago for the birth. Or they may have settled farther away, visited Chicago, and the baby decided to surprise them with an arrival that was a bit early. Or, if you "know" but haven't proven with a birth certificate, that your birth mother was born in Chicago, remember that when one is "far away" from home...and no one knows where your hometown is, sometimes you say Chicago to give an idea of where in the U.S. you mean. So maybe you were born in "Wayne" and to help the listener you just say "near Chicago" or even "Chicago." It happens. Have you tried searching for only the last name, thus getting answers from all over the United States?
