Robert was born Nov. 1854/56 in Boone Co IN. His parents James and Elizabeth Perkins Ralston Mary Haize may possibly be his mother. Robert's grandfather, John Ralston and his family moved from Boone Co IN to Trimble Co KY in 1855. In the 1860 cenus of Trimble Co, Robert is listed as being in the household of Henry and Betty Fairfield. Betty is Elizabeth Ralston, Robert's aunt and oldest daughter of John Ralston. In the 1870 Census for Trimble Co KY Robert is listed in the household of James and Elizabeth Ralston along with other sibblings. Robert married Barsheba Ellen Evans, 1875/76 Trimble Co KY. In 1880 Census of Trimble Co KY Robert and Ellen are listed with two children Sarah, abt 1876 and James R, born abt 1878. In 1900 Robert and his family are located in Wayne Co IL, Arrington Township, Page 143 Robert Ralston, age 44 born Nov 1855 , IN Ellen, age 42, born March 1858 IL Married 25 years, with 9 children living Children: James R, age 21, born Dec. 1879 IL Cloyd age 18 born Oct 1883 KY Louis F. age 13 born Aug 1886 KY Herbert L age 10 born Feb. 1890 KY Hallie N, age 8 born June 1891 KY Charles E age 5 born July 1894 IL Cora E., age 3 born Feb. 1896 IL Note: Cloyd has also been referred to as Claudie, Claude T. 1910 Wayne Co IL Arrington Township Page 34B Reveals that Barsheba Ellen was married twice. Claude, Herbert, Charles E and Cora E are still at home In 1920 Wayne Co IL Fairfield , Page 9A Robert and Barsheba Ellen are still living. Robert died Aug 1, 1922. His death certificate named him as Robert D Ralston His middle may have been Louis. His wife Ella died Aug 1, 1933 Their son, Charles Ralston married Emma Hutichison Oct 6 1921 Wayne Co IL Claud Ralston married Mary Lloyd August 8, 1917 Wayne Co IL. Frank Lewis Ralston, (son of Robert?) Wife Mary ? and/or Lettice Lee ? Frank was a farmer and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1918. At this time he lived in Sims (Wayne Co IL) Another son, Herbert Leo Ralston states on his Registration Card states that he lived in Sims IL (Wayne Co) IL He is self employed (Farmer0 He was born Sept 26, 1888 in Bedford KY (which is Trimble Co KY) He stated that he has a wife and a child. Another son, Charles Ralston, states that he was born Oakland IL July 1893. At this time he is single.
