Re: Steele or Steel surname Hello Karima: I was curious if your STEELE or STEEL line came from Ireland or Scotland? If so I would be interested to learn what you know about your Steele roots. I am of the Peter STEELE family that had Scot-Irish roots and settled in Eastern Pennsylvania. Peter Steele came to the US colonies most likely from Co. Antrim, Ireland and entered New Castle, Delaware in aprox. 1765. Peters children lived in the Wilkes-barre, PA area and have since spread accoss the U.S. My line came from Wilkes-barre to the then new territory of Nebraska. If your Steele line has any similarities I would be interested in talking to you.
