I think I found William HILTON and Lucy Ross PENLEY in 1880 in Portland, ME where William is listed as age 40, b VT, a wholesale grocer, residing on Park St. Lucy is 31. There are 2 daus listed in 1880: Myra HILTON age 12 Gracie HILTON age 6 If the marriage date of 1872 is correct for William HILTON and Lucy Ross PENLEY, then Myra would appear to be William's dau from a previous marriage. But I cannot find William and Myra in the 1870 Maine Census. Did Myra or Gracie / Grace marry ? Who, when, where ? Were there any other children / siblings ? In Maine or Illinois ?
